Finally, @dporn became the latest tribe to launch on Steem blockchian today.

Although I've never been keen on anything even remotely related to porn, I'm quite excited about this project on Steem blockchain.

What makes me so excited about this project?

Well, there is no denying that the word porn itself brings in some kinky feeling in most of us. Due to several cultural norms, moralities, legalities and even spiritual aspects involved or associated with this subject, it lends a unique flavour in its meaning.

Like many others here, I too received some PORN tokens as airdrop today. Seeing PORN in our wallet had mixed reactions. Some felt it as an act of some mischief by someone, some found it funny, some were happy to see this project coming to life, however, some also felt somewhat offensive and repulsive. Many Steemians immediately dumped this token in the market without even bothering to check the project or its details.

Of course, most people surf the internet and this website with NSFW settings on. All porn content on Steem is tagged under nsfw. But in past, I've seen people here getting annoyed with such content that they will flag it even if it was using the proper nsfw tag!

But addition of adult-content is the right mix for the blockchain that is already serving weed-related content, gaming and gambling apps. It will perhaps complete the missing link for the all-round entertainment offerings here.

Whether people react favourably to this project or the other way, whatever the case, it's certain that this project is hard to ignore. Everyone who saw it once will always remember this token name and can easily associate it with what its about. So this has a good recall and recognition rate.

With today's mindless token dumping, PORN token's rate fell down several fold to 0.03 STEEM per PORN from a high of 0.60 STEEM. Trading volume made it rank to as high as no. 4 today on Steem Engine. Don't know why people just want to get rid of it!

If you see the Tokenomics, it's max supply is limited to only 10 million tokens with only 8 million minted at this stage. Current circulating supply is only about 3 million PORN. It's far less than several other popular Tribe tokens on SE. But I understand that token scarcity should not be the only criteria to arrive at its possible price or evaluate its market potential.

A porn content on a decentralized bockchain platform makes it a unique offering for content creators as well as content consumers. No mediators, fair reward system and censorship-resistant features may make it stand out from other traditional platforms.

Sometime back, I checked this project and it appeared to me that some popular porn models too have joined this platform. I hope the team will be successful in inviting many popular artist and content creator to this platform.

If successful, this project can attract many people to Steem blockchain. I hope people will also join and invest in STEEM in loads. I hear its Discord is already buzzing with several new people from outside of Steem ecosystem.

So I'd like to stay put in this project. However, I haven't staked my tokens as I don't intend to curate content here. But if I find a good curation project that gives a good return, I'll happily delegate my PORN to that account.

I hope to see a lease and delegation market for SE tokens soon.
