What Prank You're Gonna Play This Holi?

Hi dosto!

Holi - the festival of colours is just a couple of days from now. The best thing about this festival is that you can play any prank or fun tricks, tease or make fun of anyone by your crazy acts and no one takes any offence of it. We can all be as crazy, naughty and innocent as a kid. On this festival you can live your childhood once again!

So would you like to share what all tricks you're going to play on this occasion?

I'm not much creative but I still love those age old tricks. Here are some:

When you serve sweets to visitors, put something unexpected in the plate. Once my relative put a marble stone of the same size as a rasgulla in between the pieces of real rasgullas. It was almost a replica of rasgulla which no one would doubt about. So while serving, someone will pick it very enthusiastically and put it in his / her mouth. And when the realization comes, it makes an interesting reaction.

Similarly, some people alter the sweet fillings in some of the Gujiya sweets with some extremely sour or spicy thing and put it among the other gujiyas in the plate. The face of the one who gets that makes an interesting scene.

And if you are playing that sauce and soda trick, where some baking soda is mixed in a ketchup bottle before handing it over, so that it explodes in the guest's hands; please take care that it's not a glass bottle.

There are many similar things that can be planned around the food and sweets.

One of the interesting things is to lie about the thandai during the meals and declare to all guests that it's mixed with bhang. Several people esp. children start pretending as if they are on a high. It too makes a funny scene.

Following some one with an empty bucket or empty pichkari is a common strategy when one runs out of water or otherwise too. Personally, I ain't a fan of wasting water on this festival.

Once in my childhood, I mixed colour in the overhead water tank of my friend's house. So that even after playing with colours, when he goes to take a bath, he will be bathed with another colour. However, I won't suggest anyone to play this trick as all the water in the overhead tank gets wasted.

As everyone's face is hidden in so many layers of colours; sometimes when a friend visits you, it's fun to act like a stranger and to refuse to recognize your friend. You can also act as under the influence of bhang. It all depends on how good an actor you are!

What's your favourite trick? Would you like to share yours? (I promise, I'll keep it a secret 😉)

Whatever tricks you play, please do with the intention of adding fun and humour to everyone's life. Respect other's sentiments and necessities. Please do not sprinkle colours on stray dogs and cattle on the road. Don't throw water balloons on the running vehicles on the road.

Have fun without creating trouble for others.

Wishing you all a very happy and colourful Holi!
