UNICEF Became the First UN Organisation to establish a Cryptocurrency Fund

It is interesting to note that United Nation's UNICEF has started accepting cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum for donations. What makes this move more important is that not only UNICEF is accepting cryptocurrencies but it has also decided to NOT to convert these crypto donations into fiat currencies. 

UNICEF will use this cryptocurrency fund to fund innovative open source technology that will positively benefit children and young people around the word.

Ethereum Foundation became the first donor to contribute to the UNICEF Cryptocurrency Fund. Three grantees will be benefited with this opening donation.
