This is Why I Don't Use BRAVE Browser
Some time back, I stumbled upon this interesting piece of news that California is trying to help environment by creating infrastructure in advance for futuristic electric cars that don't exist now.
Volkswagen owned Electrify America has already started setting up 350 kW electric chargers at all Simon Premium Outlets across USA. It has already installed two 350kW chargers in Livermore Valley near San Francisco proper.
Doesn't this sound funny & weird!
The first car compatible with these charging stations won't hit the roads before 2020. VW group's recently launched Audi E-Tron can't plugin to a charger over 150 kW and Porsche Taycan isn't expected to launch until 2020. Then why Electrify America is investing in this infrastructure in so much advance?
Well, probably it doesn't has anything better to do at the moment!
This company, Electrify America, was created as part of a settlement with Environmental Protection Agency for settling the now infamous case of cheating / manipulating diesel emission tests. An illegal software was installed in some 11 million diesel cars to trick diesel emission norms and violated Clean Air Act. It's likely that major car names VW, Audi, Daimler, BMW, and Porsche had colluded to form an illegal "cartel" to bypass emission standards around he world.
Dieselgate became the biggest scandal to hit the automotive industry in decades. Car companies were forced to pay billions of dollars in settlement of the case.
Electric vehicles is also an attempt for an image makeover for these German brands. I hope they will possibly soon win the public hearts once again. Public memory is very short ....and these businesses know their game to win back their customers better!
