Today is Bitcoin Pizza Day. When is STEEM Charity Day?

The crypto world is celebrating Bitcoin Pizza Day today.

Today was the day in 2010 when Laszlo Hanyecz successfully made the first transaction and purchased two pizzas in exchange of 10,000 Bitcoins (worth about $25 at that time).

I don't know why people make such a big deal of 10,000 BTC. It's true that it's worth about $80 million today but what Laszlo Hanyecz got in 2010 was more than what he deserved. He got the pizza delivered to him for then market rate of BTC. That was an amazing deal!

Laszlo Hanyecz has no regret for that deal. In fact, he says, over a period he had spent about 100,000 bitcoins for buying pizzas

But nonetheless, this day has become widely popular as Bitcoin Pizza Day.

Many crypto entities and exchanges are celebrating this day with free gifts and discounts. OKex India is also giving away free pizzas worth INR 300 from Dominos to random participants in their Telegram group or retweeters.

Do STEEM has any such WOW moment?

Bitcoin Pizza Day actually promotes pizza companies. IMO, over time, pizza companies and restaurants will take over the marketing of this day.

In case of STEEM or SBD, there is no such pizza day. I guess, initially STEEM was probably used for some charity donations to someone.

If it can be figured out, can't we have our own STEEM Charity Day?

At least, such a day will promote and inspire people to do some charity work or donations or some social good. This would be a noble tradition which will definitely enhance the image of STEEM or SBD coins too.

Instead of notoriety that Bitcoin achieved due to its alleged role in the dark market transactions, STEEM can make a positive image transformation through its STEEM Charity Day.

What do you think?
Should there be a such a day as STEEM Charity Day?
