The Lalit nightclub denies entry to me

Tonight I was invited to a LGBTQ gathering at The Lalit hotel's Kitty Su nightclub at New Delhi.

Interestingly, I was denied entry to it as I was barefeet as usual.

Although I was expecting a possible denial as being barefeet is considered inappropriate by many upmarket commercial establishments, my friends insisted me to accompany them anyway and they get a bit embarrassed for how to react to this situation.

This incident reminded me of how a Maharaja Jai Singh (king of erstwhile Alwar State of present Rajasthan) was insulted when visiting a Rolls Royce showroom at London in casual wear. To teach a lesson to Rolls Royce, he later went there in proper royal attire and bought all available six Rolls Royce cars in that showroom. He employed all these cars in Alwar Muncipality to collect muncipal waste and garbage. This brought down the brand value of Rolls Royce and consequently its sales so much that the company was compelled to apologize to Maharaja of Alwar and offered 6 brand new Rolls Royce as compensation.

Then he accepted it as an apology but it seems that present day businesses have forgotten that lesson.
