Reminder: Use Natural Colours This Holi

Hi friends!
Festival of Holi is just a couple of weeks away and the weather is becoming pleasant every passing day for it.

This morning some of my friends had organized a bicycle marathon. So I was there too.

Instead of marathon, it was named Rangothon (rang means colour in Hindi). Although it was called Rangothon on the lines of marathon; it was not a race or a competition. The event was an exercise to promote the biking culture in my city.

I'd like to share some pictures with you from this event:

Prior to pedaling, cyclists did some warm up movements:

while their bikes stood in the middle of the road:

Before starting, everyone was welcomed by putting a traditional tilak on everyone's forehead. But an important distinction was that this tilak was comprised of all natural holi gulal or colours

After tilak was put on everyone's forehead, the cycle marathon was flagged off:

The marathon was a round about of only 30 km around a city lake. So technically, it was not even a marathon.

I tried to capture these cyclists when they were on other side of the road but I don't think you will be able to see them in following still photographs. I can hardly point out an ambulance vehicle on zooming in 😉:

Anyway, this was just an excuse to share some of the photographs here today.
Wishing you all a very happy and colourful Holi in advance!
