On World Photo Day today...

Hello friends!

Today the world is celebrating World Photography Day.

It was in 1837 when Frenchmen Louis Daguerre and Joseph Nicephore Niepce invented a photographic process to develop permanent images called Daguerreotype. And it was on this remarkable day on 19th August, 1839 that the French Government purchased the patent for Daguerreotype and announced it as a gift "free to the world".

Today the photography technique has progressed a lot from just a Black & White photography to colour photograph and digital photography. The motion photography or Videography has developed into its own category now.

As you're possibly aware of the fact that I'm not so much into photography and haven't taken too many photographs though I'm trying to inculcate this hobby. But it's still difficult to select the best photograph taken by me.

So I was wondering which photo I should publish today on this special day. I know I can't win any photography contest. Still I wanted to post some photo in my today's post.

Finally, I chose to publish a photo from my own city.

Here I'm posting a photo of a heritage hotel which is a dream to stay for many tourists arriving to my city. Several visitors when look at this hotel, they instantly want to go there. But this hotel always needs to be booked in advance and only guests staying there are allowed to enter that premises. And when they inquire about the prices, it's beyond the affordability of most tourists. But they still say that one day they will visit my city again and will book a room in this hotel.

I'm afraid if I can really depict all that beauty and inspiration through my photographs of it. But here it is anyway:

All these photographs were taken from my mobile phone and were clicked just after the Sunset.

Hope you find it appealing enough!
