My Steem Payout-iversary is Also My Crypto-iversary

Today was the day in 2016, when first STEEM payouts were distributed through content creation on Steem blockchain making it a historic day in the whole of cryptoverse.

However, I don't know how many Steemians were there to get their payout on that day. But whoever were there had a strong unwavering faith in the revolution Steem was going to bring. When many from the then crypto community had dubbed it as scam project or some dubious experiment that was bound to fail, exercising your faith and working your way must had not been easy.

To know details like how many Steemians were paid 3 years back on this day, how much was the total payout, what was the maximum payout, what was the average payout and what did Steemians do of that payout (powered up, transfer to savings, withdrawal etc.), etc. questions, you will need to request people like @abh12345 and @paulag.

For me, I wasn't aware of STEEM in those days. I joined Steem platform only on 14th June, 2017 and didn't authored any post until 26th June., 2017.

My first Author Reward on Steem Blockchain

My first author reward payout on Steem blockchain , 2 years back

So I accrued my first author payout on 3 of July only. However, when I got the message of "Redeem or Claim Rewards" in my wallet, I was unsure of what to do. I thought if I was being asked to redeem my own money, then there might be some other benefit for not claiming it. So I didn't claim it immediately ...LOL!

Therefore, I too consider my first payout on 4th of July to celebrate it together with founding members.. So today I completed two years of earning STEEM payouts by creating and curating content on Steem chain. As STEEM was the first ever crypto I acquired, this is also my crypto-iversary 😊

Although USA celebrates its independence day on this day but sharing your content on a decentralized blockchain and earning cryptocurrencies for it is true freedom for all of the world from the shackles of centralized social media platforms that can censor your content at their whims.

So congratulations to all of you on 4th of July!
