Flaggy Photo of xyzashu Inspired by India's Flaggy Christ - the Redeemer

Flaggy - Statue of Christ the Redeemer is one of the most famous treks in the beautiful Aravali hills of Mt. Abu in Rajasthan. This statue is the smaller version of the Christ the Redeemer statue located in Rio de Janerieo, Brazil and is at almost 4268 feet altitude.

I had not heard about this statue before today. But today, as soon as I came to know about such a statue in Mt. Abu, I along with @mehta decided to go there. But finding it was not so easy.

When Google Map led us to a deserted place on Gaumukh Road and said that we have reached this place, we wondered where have we reached! When we couldn't locate it, we decided to go to Gaumukh temple.

Fortunately, there we found a local guide who gave us some important information to find where the hike to it begins. Another person told us about the rock and some trees & bushes through which we need to start our hike.

After some search, we were able to find the trail which was marked with small white arrows - painted on several rocks and stones on the path. Following those signs we kept climbing and finally reached a peak.

This peak had awesome views of the whole Mt. Abu. We were also blessed with pleasantly cool breeze blowing continuously. However, there was no statue of the Redeemer. We could see the statue at some distance but were clueless about the way to reach there.

I thought we may not reach there so I posed myself like the statue and got my photo clicked in this posture just for fun 😊

Later, we tried to go towards the statue but couldn't reach there. Then we saw a person who has already reached there by a different route. We gestured him to tell us the way to reach there. That person was so cooperative, he gestured us to stay wherever we were and he himself tried to find a way to reach us. After some attempts, he reached us and together we were able to reach the Flaggy - Statue of Christ the Redeemer:

How wonderful is that that sometimes, we find helping hand at unexpected moments when there was no sign of any human in that area and the only creatures we were expecting to meet were sloth bears, panthers and vipers! Soon we became friends and spent a good time there. Here's a photo of me with him:

This is undoubtedly the unforgettable moment of my today's trek. I loved the trek to this place and will always remember it as my best experience in Mt. Abu!
