Air Pollution Fest

Sorry, we don't name any fest with such terms but the biggest and widely celebrated Hindu festival of lights viz. Diwali in India can rightly be called Festival of Fire-crackers and Fire.

Add to it the pollution caused with rampant burning of residual crop straws or rice stubbles in farms is making it difficult to breathe in air to an extent that schools were forced to declare holidays for the safety of children.

A friend from USA visited my city during this festival time. I told her that she shouldn't plan her visit during this time but she wasn't aware of this festival and had already planned her journey even before she contacted me.
